The 2026-27 Comprehensive Education Planning (CEP) process begins this March, as in previous years. Approved CEPs for the 2025-26 school year are now posted on theiPlan Portaland on school webpages, as announced in the November 10 edition ofPrincipals Digest. Note that iPlan will close onApril 2to roll over CEP data and prepare for the launch of the 2026-27 CEP during the week ofApril 20.
Your 2026-27 CEP will be customized iniPlanduring the week ofApril 20, based on your school's accountability status and Central requirements for specific groups of schools.
In advance of launching the new CEP in the iPlan portal during the week ofApril 20, you should engage your School Leadership Team (SLT) and stakeholders in acomprehensive needs assessment and root cause analysisfor each of the Chancellor's systemwide priorities. Please review the2026-27 CEP Timelineand note the following key upcoming activities:
- Schools engage in comprehensive needs assessment and root cause analysis in March/April.
- Customized 2026-27 CEPs are available in iPlan during the week ofApril 20.
- Schools use iPlan to develop preliminary goals and action plans in April and May.
- Schools use iPlan to complete and submit their preliminary 2026-27 CEP, inclusive of the Language Allocation Policy (LAP), the 2026-27 Title III LEP application (as appropriate), and the 2026-27 Language Translation Interpretation Plan for Parents (LTI) byJune 26.
- Principals complete their online attestation in iPlan stating that the annual goals align with their preliminary school-based budget byJuly 10.
